was born in 1950 in the Netherlands and is a storyteller, author, drama teacher and theater director. He writes stories for children and adults. His stories are inspired by every day objects and events, his interest in cultures of other lands, and many questions: Why does the old man live on the bench? What is the bee doing on the toothbrush? How did Viper free Uncle Bhukari from prison? In addition to performing in kindergartens, schools and theatres, Marco gives courses in storytelling and reading aloud. He is a jury member for the "Huckepack" illustrated book prize.
